Core Features

Insulated Ripstop

80gm of high-loft insulation is layered between a quilted interior fabric and an outer ripstop shell. This durable ripstop material is meant to withstand the sharp edges, scrapes and accidents that tend to happen during transport, setup, and years of use—without tearing. The insulation keeps you dry and comfortable, blocking outside winds and holding the warmth generated from your heat source.

Waterproof Sleet Sheet™

Includes a seam-taped, fully waterproof Sleet Sheet™ roof cover. Like the shelter, this cover is constructed with rugged ripstop material and designed to provide an additional waterproof barrier to combat moisture or snow buildup on extended stays. This removable cover easily attaches around the perimeter of the roof with buckle snaps for a snug and secure fit, and can be left on the shelter during takedown.

Full Door Entry

The Basecamp™ 660 features a full panel main entryway. This zippered door opens all the way from ice level, with nothing to step over or trip on when going in and out. This style of door provides easy access and convenience as you set up camp, moving gear in and out and settling in for the night.

94 Square Feet

With a footprint of 94 square feet, there’s plenty of room to spread out and fit multiple sleeping cots in this hexagon-shaped, single room shelter. Standing over six and a half feet tall at the center hub (84 inches), there’s ample headroom to stand and move around, with an overall setup size of 135” x 143”.

Basecamp™ shelters are ready-made to run your preferred heat source on the ice. At the base of the shelter, (2) HVAC ports allow you to run ducting for diesel or other vented heat sources, and cinch things down for a tight seal. There's a zippered passthrough port to run an extension cord or propane hose from the outside with direct shelter access, and each shelter also has a fire-retardant lower wall panel for safer use if you plan to bring a stove.

The hexagon shape provides a centralized layout, great for keeping a group together and a rod in hand while laying on a cot. Constructed with heavy-duty high-loft insulation and ripstop shell fabric, the shelter is designed to retain heat, reduce condensation, and stand up to harsh winds. A waterproof Sleet Sheet™ roof cover, large removable window panels, gear storage nets, and a full-panel zippered entry elevate comfort and convenience, while dual HVAC ports and a flame-retardant stove area let you heat the shelter your way.

Adding even more capability, the Vestibule 660 attaches directly to the shelter front entry to create a protected, fully enclosed transition area. This Vestibule provides an additional 43 square feet of space, so it’s perfect for staging gear, removing wet boots, prepping meals, or shielding yourself from the wind before stepping into the main shelter. This Vestibule is a waterproof, non-insulated ripstop material.

Finally, to keep the interior uncluttered, the Sled Shed™ adds 29 square feet of exterior storage at the rear of the shelter. Compare Model Sizes

Designed for overnight outings and extended stays, Basecamp™ winter camping shelters are made to hold up in the harshest of environments.

Available in two sizes, each Basecamp™ shelter is constructed with insulated ripstop fabric, retaining warmth while creating a rugged outer shell that resists rips and accidental wear and tear. Both sizes also include a seam-taped waterproof roof cover, providing an additional barrier against ice and snow buildup.

Some factors to consider when choosing a shelter include the number of anglers in your group, fishing/sleeping floorplan, and intended heat source placement.

The 980 "double" size is elongated in the back to fit standard cot lengths. This can be useful to segment fishing and sleeping areas, and creates the feeling of having multiple "rooms". Alternatively, the 660 is a one room shelter that centralizes sleeping, fishing, and accumulated warmth in a single space. This allows you to use a smaller heat source, but offers less overall space.
